Exclusive Capitol Experience with Congresswoman Sheri Biggs

The Clemson Club invites our valued Corporate Partners and Roaring Tigers*** to a special, behind-the-scenes evening at the U.S. Capitol.

Join us on Thursday, April 16 at 6:00 PM for a private tour led by Sheri Biggs, who represents South Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District—home to Clemson and the surrounding Upstate communities.

This exclusive experience offers rare access inside one of the nation’s most historic landmarks. Guests will explore iconic spaces including the Old House Chamber, the Rotunda, and the Crypt beneath the Capitol, as well as portions of the modern, working building where history continues to unfold each day.

Throughout the evening, Congresswoman Biggs will share insights into her work on Capitol Hill and her efforts advocating for South Carolina families and the Clemson community.

This is a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and experience the Capitol in a way few visitors do.

Join us for a virtual lunchtime chat with Dr. Aaron Masino, Associate Professor in Clemson’s School of Computing and the Dr. Gary Spitzer Endowed Distinguished Professor in Genomics.  Dr. Masino’s research focuses on applying artificial intelligence to medicine, particularly using data-driven approaches to better understand and diagnose rare diseases, an area where patients often face long and difficult diagnostic journeys.

Drawing on experience across academia, industry, and clinical research, Dr. Masino develops AI tools that integrate biological knowledge with patient data to support more precise, informed medical decision-making. His work highlights how emerging technologies are reshaping healthcare and opening new possibilities for patients with complex and often overlooked conditions. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear how AI is transforming healthcare – and what it means for the future of medicine – from a leader at the forefront of the field.

The Baltimore/DC Clemson Club will welcome incoming students and their families at a casual gathering in Annapolis, MD. Join us at this free event to meet new students and discuss all things Clemson! Local Alumni, current students and current parents will be in attendance to help answer questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the Clemson Family! Held on the banks of the beautiful West River in Shady Side, MD, the menu for this all-you-can-eat Crab Feast also includes low country boil, hush puppies, hot dogs, beer and soda. Don’t be shy if you’ve never had crabs before – we’ll teach you to pick like a pro.

And there is more to do than just eat! Go for a swim in the pool, try to catch a few crabs yourself, take out a kayak or canoe or join a guided boat tour of the river. A huge thank you to Mark ‘91 and Cindy ‘90 Derrick P’25, P’29 for hosting.

Early Bird pricing is available until May 31st. Early Bird Member adult tickets are $44. Early Bird Member child tickets are $19. Members may purchase up to 6 tickets at the Member price, even if guests are not Club members.

After May 31st, member adult tickets are $54. Member children tickets are $25. Clemson Club Members may register for up to 6 member tickets even if the guests are not Clemson alumni or Club Members. Non-member adult tickets are $85. Non-member children are $39. Children under 3 are free.

Join us for a special lunchtime discussion all about Clemson Football with guest speaker Tim Bourret. Tim is a Clemson University athletics legend who served as the Sports Information Director for 40 years, from 1978 to 2018. Nicknamed “Clemson Google” for his encyclopedic knowledge, he chronicled the program’s history, including national championships in football under coaches Danny Ford and Dabo Swinney.

If you join us in person, lunch will be provided. Club members may register themselves at the member price plus one guest at the member price. $10 for Club members, $25 for non-members.

A Historic Tradition

Established in 1801, Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., is the oldest active post in the United States Marine Corps. Since 1957, the Friday Evening Parade has embodied the precision, discipline, heritage, and esprit de corps that define the Marine Corps. This inspiring ceremony offers visitors a unique opportunity to witness the dedication and professionalism of Marines in a historic setting that honors the Corps’ distinguished legacy.

Come out to cheer on our Tigers with fellow local alumni, parents, and fans.  Everyone is welcome – whether you’re a die-hard fan or just want to be part of the Clemson spirit.  We’ll be getting together all season long at the locations listed below to watch the games, celebrate the touchdowns, and enjoy food and drink specials exclusively for our group. It’s the perfect way to connect with fellow Tigers and bring a little orange and purple Death Valley spirit to game day!

Honor Flights are BACK! 

Representing the Clemson Family while welcoming South Carolina veterans to Washington, D.C., on an Honor Flight is both a privilege and a humbling experience. As these American heroes arrive, Club volunteers proudly greet them with enthusiastic applause, warm smiles, handshakes, and heartfelt expressions of gratitude for their service and sacrifice. For many veterans, this welcome is a meaningful recognition that may have been missing when they returned home from military service. It is an emotional reminder that their courage, commitment, and dedication to our nation have not been forgotten. Standing alongside fellow volunteers to honor these remarkable men and women reflects the Clemson spirit of service and provides an unforgettable opportunity to thank those who have given so much to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Greeters must plan for arrival at DCA no later than 7:45am to allow for parking, walking to the group meeting point and passing through security.  The group meeting point will be in front of The Café at DCA North, just outside the North Security Checkpoint.

Please note that registration for this event will close on Sunday, September 13th to allow time for processing the Gate Access Passes.
