Board Member Spotlight
Dana Clark ’06
Dana is President of Clark | Azar & Associates (CAA), a woman-owned small business providing civil engineering and landscape architecture services in Maryland, DC and Virginia. As president, she is responsible for managing business operations, business development and providing client and project management.
Favorite memory of Clemson – Despite having a fantastic collegiate experience, I think Clemson has really brought me the most joy post graduation. I have always felt a part of something just by having graduated from Clemson. The greatest privilege has been the opportunity to share that with others, especially my children. They have been to a football game every year since they were born and have been brought up Clemson Tigers and to see it all again through their eyes has been remarkable. And they aren’t even students! (yet…I hope!)
What keeps me busy during the day – Dana is he president of Clark | Azar & Associates, a civil engineering firm with offices in the DC and Baltimore areas. When not working, Dana can probably be found on a field watching my kids play ALL the sports.
Community Service/involvement/additional roles – Director at large for CREW Baltimore, youth sports coach
Personal Goals while on the Board – Provide more access and events centered around families and our young tiger fans!
Advice – Never let fear stop you. Fear just means the opportunity presents a chance for growth. Feel the fear and do it anyway!

Founded in 2000, the Call Me MiSTER® (Mentors Instructing Students Toward Effective Role Models) program was created to inspire minority young men to pursue meaningful careers in education. What began as a partnership between Clemson University and three other institutions has grown into a national success, now spanning more than 75 colleges and universities. Through academic support, tuition assistance, and job placement, Call Me MiSTER is transforming lives and shaping the future of education.
This March, our Club is proud to help host Call Me MiSTER Director Mark Joseph, a former MiSTER himself, along with several current students as they visit DC during Clemson’s spring break. Alumni, parents, and students are invited to join us for a special evening reception on Wednesday, March 18 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington to meet Mark and the MiSTERs while hearing first hand stories of their success and celebrating the program’s incredible impact.
Registration is just $7 for Club members (who may bring three guests at this rate) and $20 for non-members and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and soft drinks, along with complimentary valet parking.
