Board Member Spotlight
Jill Foster and Brian Roach P’23
Meet Brian Roach and Jill Foster. Brian and Jill are the parents of Clemson student, Doug Roach. Doug has enjoyed 4 years at Clemson, graduating in Spring 2023 with his BS in Management, with an Emphasis in Entrepreneurship. All three family members were thrilled when Doug chose to extend his Clemson experience another year by enrolling in the Clemson Future MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation program.
Brian and Jill have been Club Board members since 2020. Brian and Jill also share their love of Clemson by supporting the Baltimore/DC Clemson Club as Lead Roaring Tigers.
Brian did his undergraduate studies at Duke University, receiving a BS in Electrical Engineering. He later earned his MS in Technology Management from University of Maryland. Jill earned a BBA in International Business with a minor in Spanish from Hofstra University and continued her graduate studies at Adelphi University, earning a ME in Exercise Physiology. Currently Brian is the CEO of Red River Technologies and spends his free time volunteering with USO Metro, AFCEA DC, Northern Virginia Tech Council, and BSA Troop 1140 as a Scout Leader. Jill is retired from her career in Exercise Physiology and Health and Wellness Club Management. Both Brian and Jill enjoy exploring the outdoors by hiking, skiing and all sorts of water sports.
Both Brian and Jill are frequent attendees of all events Clemson, both with the Club and in Clemson. They love attending Clemson football games and say, “there’s nothing like it!” A favorite activity with the Baltimore/DC Club is the tour of Mount Vernon’s gardens with Dean Norton, especially enjoying Mrs. Norton’s homemade cupcakes! Brian and Jill also loved the sprint 2023 event at Brookeville Beer Farm. It was so fun to have an afternoon with Clemson friends and a bonus to purchase Brookeville craft beer with a custom Clemson label for Doug’s graduation party!
Brian, Jill and Doug have truly embraced being a part of the Clemson family.

Founded in 2000, the Call Me MiSTER® (Mentors Instructing Students Toward Effective Role Models) program was created to inspire minority young men to pursue meaningful careers in education. What began as a partnership between Clemson University and three other institutions has grown into a national success, now spanning more than 75 colleges and universities. Through academic support, tuition assistance, and job placement, Call Me MiSTER is transforming lives and shaping the future of education.
This March, our Club is proud to help host Call Me MiSTER Director Mark Joseph, a former MiSTER himself, along with several current students as they visit DC during Clemson’s spring break. Alumni, parents, and students are invited to join us for a special evening reception on Wednesday, March 18 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington to meet Mark and the MiSTERs while hearing first hand stories of their success and celebrating the program’s incredible impact.
Registration is just $7 for Club members (who may bring three guests at this rate) and $20 for non-members and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and soft drinks, along with complimentary valet parking.
